New Things :)

So... I haven't posted in a while, but I just HAD to share the two new things I added to my wardrobe yesterday.

This dress from Urban Planet (I actually bought it at Urban Behaviour but they don't have a website, but it's the same dress anyways)

This purse from Garage
(sort of reminded me of the purse featured here-the color is brighter in person)

Emma Stone at the Golden Globes

If you follow any fashion blogs, they have been abuzz with the golden globes fashion. Personally, I tend to skip the red carpet portion and just watch the awards show (which is why I'm not a proper fashion blog-I'm lazy and unobservant), but this look was worth mentioning.

From the pleated chiffon Lavin dress, to the biker chique belt by Lorraine Schwartz, to the Cartier clutch it was perfect.

Oh, and anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge headband fan, but Michelle Willams... no.

And just for you guys, I found some cheap alternatives to the accessories pictured here (minus the clutch)

Candie's Rhinestone Headband-Kohls $16.00 (on sale right now for $8.00)

Rhinestone Eagle Belt Buckle$17.95

Silver Rhinestone Eagle Belt Buckle $19.95

The Season's Gone

Christmas is over, and it's time to take down the decorations :'(

BUT with christmas being done, we can start counting down the days to WARM WEATHER! I must say though, it's uncharacteristically warm for January, it's +11 degrees celsius today :O.

With warm weather comes spring and summer fashion! Along with the bright colors, we're also going towards black and white. Some other trends to look out for are bra tops, lace,  clear shoes, summer suits (suits with shorts),orange, florals, and a throwback to the roaring 20s. Oh. And the croptop trend isn't dying yet. So good luck finding a full length shirt (I swear it's impossible...)

Here are some of the trends I talked about, and even though they are runway pictures, it's quite easy to work them into your spring/summer wardrobe.

and I know I know this might be pushing the boundaries on my "daily wear" theme, but I HAD to do this entry <3

It's All So Bright!

I'm not one to pay attention to fashion trends much, but this one I can't ignore. From the "pair orange with something subtle" to the spread in the latest US Weekly on "Bright, Bold Coats" I have to comment.

I'm not one to wear overly bright things. Take a look in my closet, it's mostly blacks and subtle "blend in" colors (no brown though-eew) but through my CONSTANT style rediscovery, I'm starting to appreciate things like the bright pink shirt with black leggings. Some of the things in the US spread that caught my attention were:

Fiesta Purple Majestic Peacoat-J Crew

Gucci Resort Jacket

Royal Blue Jacket by Ted Baker (worn by the beautiful Pippa Middleton I might add)
I would be so happy and grateful if I could own any of these.
